Medical Outreach Team Monthly Meeting - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
Amy, I’d like a copy of the birthday invite please :) firstname.lastname@example.org
I’d also like ideas on how to start a gala for our organization
Letter to board of regents
We have a parent who is a photographer who hosts photo shoots for our families and charges $25 which gets donated directly to our program. She creates a yearly calendar which we sell and all proceeds go to our program. For our 2022 calendar we had over 100 families apply to participate!
Excellent point, Amy Allison! Not every parent is ready to be a part of this kind of outreach
Amy can you share the letter for the bad experience
I will get the letter to hospital to stephanie so she can share with all attendees. Dora I have your email and will send you the b'day party handout we make
How did you correct that mistake, Kim Baich?
Turnover is a thing! And transfer of info and contacts doesn't always happen.
Different hospital depts. don't always talk to each other
Where to start when going into a hospital when you have NO contacts at all
heather I would start with the OB educator or in social work. introduce yourself and share resources and let them know you will come out to train or visit with parents
Would appreciate understandinghow thegroups obtain emails and appropriate contacts in hospitals. We struggle with getting emails.
emails are not easy to find online. In person visits to hospitals net me more emails than searching websites of hospitals
Question! I think you mentioned a list of available grants at "foundation center". What is this? Sorry if this is a silly question.
We run into resistance to training (even though it’s free) if we can’t offer continuing education credits. We often get asked if we offer CME/CNE. We’re working on this but do you run into resistance when you can’t offer continuing education credits, and what is your response?
the hospital typically provides me paperwork to complete if they want CME's tied to the training.
it's a pain to complete the paperwork but worth it to get in there!
I appreciate all these links and resources. I am interested in receiving them for sure!
Any chance one of you has your magazine/folder on hand to show? Ex: Amy, I’m curious what magazine you leave at the hospitals. Do you deliver those 250 magazines in person or mail them.
Scroll down this page to see our new beginnings magazine with old branding on it. https://kcdsi.org/new-parents/
our new one is not live yet on the page. OOPS!
i will hand deliver 5-10 magazines to each hospital in the coming weeks and leave a business card with my contact information and make sure the hospital knows we will visit night or day, weekends and holidays if a family requests a visit
