Question for Brian or anyone: Has the level of your covid coverage diminished because this has gone on so long, or from fatigue?

How do you measure audience interest?

I can gauge interest by comments on social media. We’re a small enough community that I hear a lot of comments directly about our coverage or what they would like to see.

Jennifer you mentioned having conversations about sharing you diagnosis with your readers. A question for all of you, do you feel like there is a “stigma” almost a shame-on-you to people who have gotten sick and is this something we as journalists should cover?

How much do you all feel the need to call out the non-mask-wearers and the misinformation out there?

Are there any non-covid issues you feel haven’t received enough coverage because we are so focused on the virus. I feel like I’m so immersed in it I’m sure there are things I’m missing that I’d normally bring to the newsroom’s attention.

On comment to prior question about covering other topics: I think we all gave government entities a lot of flexibility for open meetings/records to figure this out and now they are enjoying it too much!
