Harvard graduate and author Henry Fetter presents "The First Jewish Justice: Antisemitism and the Nomination of Louis D. Brandeis to the Supreme Court." In his Zoom webinar, he will discuss his research in the field of Jewish scholarship, specifically regarding the Supreme Court justice appointment of Brandeis and the response of the media and public. This presentation is sponsored by the Program in Jewish Studies. Dr. Shelia Jelen (sjelen@uky.edu) will be facilitating the discussion. This event is open to all.

Fetter is a graduate of Harvard Law School and a member of the California and New York Bars. He holds degrees in History from Harvard College and the University of California, Berkeley and has written about the Jewish Justices of the Supreme Court and antisemitism in American law schools. He is currently working on a book about Louis D. Brandeis’s appointment to the Supreme Court in 1916.
